Michael- Glad to hear that you were satisfied with your dental work until recently. Checking your chart, I see that you came in 2004, 12 years ago, had an exam, x rays and a filling. Four years later in 2008 you came back with a toothache and had the root canal performed. I agree with you that root canal is a serious treatment, and we prefer not to do them unless absolutely necessary. The focus of our practice is prevention. It is easier and cheaper to fill a cavity when it is small, than to wait until it gets deep and needs a root canal. With proper care, and regular 6 month cleanings, you should not need any more root canals. It is better to stay healthy, brush, floss, stay away from soda and sugar, and not need any dental treatment at all. You are always welcome to come back to our office. Dr Hart
Upon my recent return to Gentle Dental, I discovered, much to my dismay, that my dental insurance policy had lapsed, and I was without coverage. My visit to Dr. Messer was urgent, since a filling had popped out two days prior to my going out of state. No worries! Knowing that not having insurance would saddle me with a sizable bill, Dr. Messer accommodated my needs, while helping me stay within my tight budget. I was so thankful for their thoughtfulness, generosity, and concern, that I nearly cried with gratitude. Dr. Messer, and his dental assistant Nicole, were attentive, compassionate, and yes, gentle. From the moment you're greeted by the front office, Gentle Dental lives up to its name.
What a wonderful friendly group of people they helped us through a rough situation we will definitely be going back thank you Dr Hart!
